Graduate Centre for International Research in Childhood: Literature, Culture, Media
The world-famous MA in Children’s Literature is the oldest in Britain based on literary and cultural studies approaches. The MA is taught by leading international experts in Children’s Literature and is run by the ‘Graduate Centre for International Research in Childhood: Literature, Culture, Media (CIRCL)’. It is formally a Master’s Research (MRes) because it provides excellent training for further research at PhD level, but it is a fully taught degree. This is an academically outstanding course on Children’s Literature and its history, critical approaches and theoretical issues. It also includes engagement with childhood studies and children’s media.
